Welcome back barbecue a hit

Tribute to the late Clark supporter Jim Raines ’54 connects student-athletes with Clark faculty and staff

More than 270 alumni, community members, Clark faculty, staff, friends and Clark’s new and returning student-athletes had fun playing cornhole and eating Daddy D’s famous barbecue, and equally delicious vegan sandwiches from Sugar & Salt, on Friday, September 20. The threat of rain brought the event inside Gaiser Student Center, but the weather didn’t dampen the spirit of the crowd. Wilma Raines ’54 was on hand to tell stories about her husband, Jim who was an ardent Penguin Nation supporter. Student-athletes talked about their seasons so far and other guests spent time getting to know each other.
