Generations of Firestones have attended Clark College. Harold Firestone and his brother Everett attended Clark in the mid-1940s. Their wives, Jean and the late Doris Firestone, are also alumnae. Mark Firestone, son of Everett and Doris, and his identical twin brother, Clark, and a younger brother Kent, went to the college in the 1970s. Clark’s wife, Joan, took teaching classes in 1976. If you’re lost already, join the club. There are many more Firestones who have crammed for tests in Cannell Library or attended lectures in Foster Hall.

Today Clark and Joan Firestone own a hazelnut business that produces two million pounds annually and ships worldwide, as well as run a farm stand in Dayton, Ore. Mark is a fourth-generation farmer who raises poultry.
