Give More24! success
Clark College Foundation thanks all who participated in Give More24!, Southwest Washington’s day of giving. We had an outstanding response – $17,472 was raised from 63 gifts. We did so well that we also received all of the matches that were in place from Mill Creek Pub, Vancouver Energy Trust and an anonymous matching donor. Overall, the larger community was overwhelmed by the generosity of others – more than $676,000 was raised from 3,640 gifts for all sorts of terrific causes and organizations.
The Clark College gifts will be directed to our Clark Fund, which opens opportunities for students through scholarships, technology, facility upgrades and much more.
Our staff spread the message about this online community giving event by mailing letters complete with Ask Me About Give More24! stickers and information cards, running online ads, Tweeting, posting on Facebook, calling donors, passing out stickers on campus, providing materials at Burnt Bridge Cellars in Vancouver, Wash., and greeting patrons at Mill Creek Pub in Battle Ground, Wash., all day helping them to donate. Oswald even made an appearance at the pub and had the National Anthem sung to him.
Thank you very much for your support of Clark College and for being a part of something bigger.
