Writers, musicians and even the ghost of Pancho Villa
Clark College held a wide range of public events–including films, music, speakers and panel discussions–during its observance of International Education Week in November. This year’s theme was “The Language of Learning: Creating a Sense of Place.”
Highlights included Ismet Prcic and Zachary Schomburg, winners of the 2013 Oregon Book Awards for Fiction and Poetry; Spanish professor and online learning expert Erika Nava; and Saudi Arabia students who spoke about their country and its culture.
