Parish named to Clark College Foundation board

Clark College Foundation welcomes Jim Parish to its board of directors. Parish’s career has spanned the food and beverage industry including solutions for quick service, fast casual, casual, upscale and fine-dining. His financial and strategic expertise comprises private equity and venture investment, strategic investment, software solutions, and real estate and commercial projects.

Among the companies with which Parish has been associated with are Rockfish Seafood Grill, Taco Bueno, Famous Dave’s of America, Bojangle’s, McCormick and Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants, Fishbowl Inc. and Spirit Finance Corporation. He provided guidance on strategy, brand growth and development, executive mentoring, board of directors’ compliance, governance consulting and transaction evaluations for strategic and financial investors.

Today, Parish is a professional board member. His board experience includes serving for public and private companies, ranging from start-ups to multi-billion dollar enterprises. He has served on numerous committees and as chair while serving on the boards of McCormick & Schmick’s, Spirit Finance and First Bank.

Nonprofit service includes serving on the boards of the North Dallas Food Bank, LifeWorks, a youth services organization in Austin, Texas, and Blue Heaven Therapeutic Riding Academy, specializing in horseback riding for children with impairments or disabilities in Oregon.

Clark College Foundation is a nonprofit organization serving as the fundraising partner of Clark College in support of student learning. Nationally recognized for excellence in fundraising and communications, we are the 2015 gold winner for our campaign fundraising communications by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) in District VIII. We are also the recipient of the 2015 Educational Fundraising Award in overall performance and overall improvement from national CASE, based in Washington, D.C.
