Clark College Foundation’s most celebrated event of the year is our annual Scholarship Reception. It’s an opportunity for donors and their scholarship recipients to meet each other, share experiences and show gratitude. On Friday, October 25, 2019, nearly 350 scholarship recipients, donors and family members joined us in Clark’s O’Connell Sports Center for an uplifting afternoon of student aspirations supported by the generosity of donors. Clark student leader Evans Kaame gave a stirring account of his journey as a homeless youth on the streets of a Kenyan city to a college student in Vancouver, Wash. Also, Jasmin Brambila-Pelayo, Clark’s Alumni Scholarship recipient, was featured in a video explaining how the scholarship allows her to focus on her studies.
